Will the USA achieve a soft landing? Doubts have recently arisen given disappointing economic figures and turbulence on the stock markets. It can still be assumed that a recession can be avoided and a soft landing with lower but still positive growth rates is possible.
The US economy will probably slow down in the second half of 2024. On average, however, one can still expect a solid growth rate in 2024. The network members still expect the U.S. economy to expand by 2.4% this year. However, growth will be more modest in the second half of this year. The US economy is also expected to expand in 2025 and 2026. However, growth rates will likely be somewhat below 2.0%. The MIME community currently expects the Fed to cut interest rates by 25 basis points in September.
